Each week at High Pointe, children of all ages are actively involved in learning God's Word. As Jesus said, "Let the little children come unto me." We, too, welcome all children and consider it a privilege to aid parents in sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with them in a safe environment! All teachers and childcare Below are the ministries we offer for children (0-6th grade):
Preschoolers enjoy Bible stories, games, songs, and many other exciting activities on Sunday mornings and are cared for by loving, nurturing teachers.
Children are dismissed during the morning worship service to participate in KidsPointe. They participate in kid-sized worship services that include "mini sermons" taught by adult teachers in a small group environment, where Bible lessons are reinforced through various activities.
For children attending KidsPointe for the first time we require a registration form to be filled out. Below you will find this form for your convenience. Please fill this form out and bring it with you when you drop your child(ren) off for the first time.
AWANA Kids' Club

Child Protection Policy at High Pointe
High Pointe Baptist Church is committed to providing a safe and secure environment to help children and youth learn to love and follow Jesus Christ. At this time, the disturbing and traumatic rise of physical and sexual abuse of children and youth has claimed the attention of our nation and society. Unfortunately, churches that have children and youth programs are not insulated from this trend.
At High Pointe Baptist Church, we believe it is our responsibility to protect the children while they are in our care. We take every reasonable step to ensure children’s safety in our ministry as well as to protect our staff and volunteers from being exposed to false accusations of misconduct. To this end, we have mandatory screening and supervision policies in place, which include:
- The six-month rule. Volunteers are required to be members of High Pointe Baptist Church for a minimum of six months. The purpose of this rule is to make HPBC a more difficult place for predators to gain access to children. Six months provides a threshold of time for individuals to become known better, and gives an opportunity to evaluate their suitability for volunteer service.
- An application. We require a Volunteer Screening Application before approving an individual for service in our children’s/youth ministry to help us screen volunteers. We conduct reference checks.
- Background checks. We conduct criminal records checks for all staff, pastors, and volunteers who will have access to children.
- Training. We require all staff and volunteers to successfully complete our Child Sexual Protection training program.
