Children's Ministry Volunteer Opportunities

Please note that High Pointe has a Child Protection Policy in place to keep our children safe. This means we do everything from background screening and running references, to requiring all workers complete an online child protection training. We keep careful adult to child ratios, including requiring that at least two adults are always present with any group of children. Only members of High Pointe, who have been active in the church for over 6 months, may be approved to serve in the children’s ministry. However, new members are welcome to submit this interest form in advance and are encouraged to complete the needed requirements to serve once they reach the 6-month benchmark.

Paid Childcare Workers

Care for children, in groups that range from 8 months through Pre-K, during Sunday morning worship services (once every 5 Sundays) or during evening prayer services (once every two months).

Join a ministry team that teaches The Gospel Project to children, K-5th grade, on Sunday mornings from 9:00-9:45am. Each team currently serves 5-6 Sundays per semester.

Join a team as a small group helper (monthly) or teacher (quarterly) as we take K-5th graders through the whole of redemptive history using The Gospel Story curriculum.

Serve during evening worship services, on 2nd and 4th Sunday evenings, from 5:00 to 6:20 pm, helping children learn catechism questions and answers as well as memorize scripture.

These are members willing to be notified of upcoming churchwide events (workshops, Bible studies, meetings) that require childcare. Paid workers sign up for the events in which they are willing to work and are paid hourly for their time.
