He is Risen. He is Risen Indeed! Easter Sunday April 9, 2023
For over 2,000 years, the church has gathered on Sundays, the Lord’s Day, to remember and celebrate Jesus’ resurrection – our living hope. This Sunday, the church throughout the world will gather to celebrate Easter. It is the day on the Christian calendar when we place special focus on Jesus’ resurrection. May I encourage you to pray and think about an unbelieving, unchurched person you may invite? Most people are open to an invitation to church, especially during Easter (and Christmas). So, take advantage of their openness and offer the invitation. To help you engage with your unbelieving family and friends, we will not meet Sunday night. Let’s pray for one another as we seek to engage unbelievers with the gospel.
Also, we will gather for our annual Good Friday service this Friday at 6:00 pm. Join us.
Engaging Our Neighbors | This Saturday, April 8, at 10:00 am
Join us this Saturday in the foyer of our building as we prepare and pray to engage our neighbors in the Pioneer Crossing neighborhood. Our aim is to invite our neighbors to church on Sunday, pray with them, and share the gospel as the Spirit allows.
Pastor Robert Baldwin on Sabbatical Until 1 May
On Sunday evening, April 2, Shirley Baldwin lost her mother. Please pray for Shirley and Robert as they make the arrangements. We will send out details as soon as we have them. As you can imagine, this has been a difficult season for both Shirley and Robert. Additionally, Robert has been addressing some personal health matters. To care well for the Baldwins, the elders have granted Robert a sabbatical until May 1. Please be in prayer for God’s grace and comfort during this time for the Baldwins, for God’s mercy as Robert addresses his health concerns, and for God’s rest to a soothing balm for their souls.
