Introducing Robert Cline Senior Associate Pastor Candidate

The elders would like you to get to know Robert Cline. Robert is all about being and making disciples in the context of healthy reproducing churches to the Glory of God. And he’s eager to serve in a pastoral staff role in a healthy local church like High Pointe. Robert is a lifelong learner aiming to keep growing in Christ. He is delightfully married to Rona Riggs Cline, and they have 4 adult daughters.

In his kindness, God saved Robert at age 19 and has helped him to

• Plant, shepherd, or influence healthy churches in various ways for 30 years through Word-centered ministry and prayer
• Plant and pastor a local church in New England, discipling the first elders and deacons there
• Teach, lead, and help shepherd church-planting and discipleship efforts in cross-cultural contexts
• Create, present, and facilitate cross-cultural discipleship training curricula
• Create and develop relational discipleship and leadership curricula
• Coach and mentor marketplace Christians to apply the gospel in every area of life here and overseas
• Oversee a training team and oversee training for 400 personnel
• Found and direct an NGO in Central Asia, overseeing 10 local staff and 20 international staff
• Manage people and projects for the International Mission Board (IMB) Training Development introducing a variety of workflow improvements and healthy teaming processes
• Write articles and co-author books and training courses, including Biblical Theology, Deepen Discipleship, Sent to the Workplace, Careful Conversations, Leadership Development, Team Leader Training, Evangelism, and Hermeneutics 
• Edit Foundations Document for the IMB and create the Foundations Companion Guide 

Robert will join us on Sunday, March 24, to preach in view of a call to serve as our senior associate pastor. Robert and Rona will then be available from Monday through Wednesday to meet with church members. They are excited to spend this time with us. The elders pray that you would consider Robert for service at High Pointe as our senior associate pastor. Please take time to review his bio, join us in prayer, then attend the services on Sunday morning and evening on March 24. We will interview Robert that Sunday night, and we will have a brief time of fellowship after the prayer service so you may get to better know Robert and Rona.

Men’s Breakfast | March 23 at 7:30 AM
Please join us for a Men's breakfast happening Saturday, March 23rd in the fellowship hall from 7:30 - 9:00 AM. This will be an intentional time of fellowship and good food. The goal is to help cultivate fellowship and equip men to engage in one-to-one discipling.

Women’s Flower Arranging Workshop | March 23 at 2 PM
On Saturday March 23rd, from 2:00 – 4:30 PM, there will be a flower arranging workshop in the fellowship hall where women can come spend time together and learn how to use a wide variety of flowers to make centerpieces and arrangements! Life Classes Resume April 7
Life Classes are meant to equip High Pointe for life as a Christian. We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity and join us. This session, we are offering the following classes from April 7 to May 26:

• Relationships: A Mess Worth Making (Livingston Room)
• Desarrollando Relaciones Que Agradan a Dios (East Training Room)
• Kids Life Class (Overflow Room/Old Mission Room)
• Membership class (Old Library) | Our Meaningful Membership Class is offered on Sunday mornings as well.

Lost & Found
If you have lost anything or left something in the church building in the last few months, please visit the Book Stall to check the Lost & Found. The Lost & Found is going to be cleaned out on March 18th. The Lost & Found Box is cleaned out every other month, so be sure to continue to check there if you have lost any possessions.

On-Call Pastor
To better care for you, High Pointe, we have an “on-call” pastor available for emergencies after office hours and on weekends. To reach the on-call pastor, call 512-837-7725, extension 1.

Preaching Schedule: Pray regularly for the ministry of the Word at High Pointe. Also, prepare for our gatherings by reading the sermon text, thinking it through, and asking questions about the text before Sunday. Here is our (tentative) preaching schedule designed to help you prepare for Sundays:
