New Life Classes Beginning THIS Sunday, April 16 9:00 AM

We begin our new slate of Life Classes this Sunday at 9:00 am. In addition to our adult Life Classes (9 am), we offer one Kids’ Life Class for children (K-5th grade). In our Kids’ Life Class, we utilize The Gospel Project that walks kids through the sweep of biblical redemptive history. This Kids’ Life Class is available whenever the adult classes are taking place. We look forward to seeing you this Sunday morning! Here are our classes this quarter:
  • Habits of Grace (Spiritual Disciplines) | Second Floor, Livingston Room
Church members rightly recognize the need for regular Bible reading and prayer. But why do we refer to these practices as “spiritual disciplines”? How does our disciplined effort in reading and praying relate to God’s lavishing his grace on us in Christ? This class will consider the primary avenues in which God’s grace flows to us: namely, through Word, Prayer, and Fellowship. The goal is to equip church members with a biblical vision for the ‘ordinary means of grace’ and to offer practical guidance for turning these practices into habits.

  • The Trinity | Second Floor, Classroom at Top of Stairs
(Esta clase se ofrece en Español también – segundo piso, East Training Room)
The Trinity is the central mystery of the Christian faith and the foundation of the church's confession about God. Even so, Christians often struggle to articulate the doctrine of the Trinity or see its relevance for everyday faith and practice. This class will explore the doctrine of the Trinity by looking at the biblical support, the church's historic teaching, and the theological implications.

  • Meaningful Membership Class | First Floor, Classroom By Office Entrance
The first step in pursuing membership at High Pointe is to attend the membership class. The class can be completed over the course of three sessions, which cover the following topics:
  • What is the Church & Why Should I Join?
  • What Does High Pointe Believe?
  • What You Need To Know About High Point
  • What Does High Pointe Expect of Church Members

Thank You, High Pointe!
High Pointe, thank you for your faithfulness in inviting friends, family, and neighbors to gather with us on Easter Sunday. It was a personal joy to meet the guests you invited. I hope you were encouraged that so many came based on a simple invitation to come to church. Now, let us pray together for the seeds that were planted. May our Lord grant us the grace to see those seeds watered, grow, and, even, harvested.

Let us also invite unchurched people we know to gather with us on Sundays. Many people are open to such invitations. May the Lord continue to bless High Pointe! See you this Sunday.

Missions Interest Meeting, 30 April at 4:00 PM
Are you interested in missions? Are you interested in taking part in one of our 2023 mission trips? Join us on Sunday afternoon to learn more about missions at High Pointe and how you may take part.

Please note that our members meeting will be on the fifth Sunday, April 30th, instead of the fourth Sunday. Children’s Catechism class will also be on Sunday, April 30th.
