May You Have a Blessed Christmas!
Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of a great joy which shall be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a savior, who is Christ the Lord. (Luke 2:10-11, NASB)
The story of Christmas is not merely a story about a baby born in Bethlehem; it is a story of how God became man in order to save us from our sins (Matthew 1:21). Jesus Christ, the pre-existent Son who is God Himself (John 1:1), took on human flesh so that through His death we could have life (Hebrews 2:14-18). This is the story of Christmas, and I pray this will be the focus of your celebrations this season! I hope each of you will take time during this busy season to participate in our corporate worship gatherings as we conclude our study of Paul’s letter to the Ephesians on December 27. If you happen to be in Austin over the holidays, I invite you to join us as we celebrate Christ this Christmas! For your convenience and advanced planning, I am providing a schedule of our worship gatherings over the next few weeks. Remember also that the church offices will be closed December 28 - January 1.
