Returning to our Study of the Book of Judges
As we began a new church year together, we focused our attention on the mission of the church. It’s been good to refocus our attention and remind ourselves of our mission: to see all peoples become whole-hearted followers of Jesus Christ to the glory of God.
One of the main ways we seek to make disciples and allow the Word to dwell in us richly (Colossians 3:16) is through the regular preaching of the word (2 Timothy 4:1-2). The ministers of the Word preach and teach the Word. You receive the Word. Then, you speak it to one another in love with the aim that we help one another look more and more like Jesus (Ephesians 4:11-16).
So, this week, we return to our study of Judges where we left off – chapter 10. Join us as we consider God’s faithfulness to deliver his people and give them the land he had promised. Through the cycle of sin, suffering, crying out to God, and God’s deliverance, we learn that God is slow to anger, but he will discipline his disobedient people. This week, we will consider how God responds when God’s people genuinely repent. Join us this Sunday!
