Welcome Our Newest Pastoral Assistant
Please help us welcome Mark and Mackenzie Cambranis and their newborn son, Salem! They arrived in Austin this past week and worshipped with us on Sunday. Mark will begin serving as a pastoral assistant, helping us on matters of membership and discipleship. The Cambranises come to us from Del Ray Baptist Church in Arlington, Virginia and are excited to be with us. Mark begins his assistantship on Tuesday, September 6.

Cuba Partnership Trip
One of the challenges of gospel partnership in Cuba is making sure our partners receive the financial support they need, but, due to the nature of the relations between our countries, the only way to deliver that financial support is to take it in person. Because of Covid, we have not been able to deliver our financial support to FBC Santa Clara and the seminary High Pointe helped to start.
Christopher Parker and myself were recently made aware of an opportunity to send our financial support on your behalf, High Pointe. So, we will be traveling to Cuba from this Wednesday, August 31, to Saturday, September 3. While we are there, I will also preach at a Pillar Network pastors' conference in Havana. Please pray for our safe travel and return. Normal travel has been uncertain. Travel to and out of Cuba can be even more uncertain. Pray also for our pastors' conference and our sister church, FBC Santa Clara. I look forward to meeting their new pastor and establishing what we hope to be a long and fruitful relationship.
